Arda Güler Set for Long-Term Contract with Real Madrid

Arda Güler is about to sign the kind of contract that tells you everything about his place at Real Madrid.

Spanish outlet AS reported on Thursday that talks were moving in the right direction. A few hours later, Fabrizio Romano went further: all details are now agreed between the club and the 21-year-old’s camp.

The deal is set to tie Güler to the Bernabéu until at least 2031, with Romano even claiming it will stretch to 2032. If that longer term is confirmed, he will join an exclusive group inside the dressing room. Only big-money summer arrival Yan Diomande, signed for €125 million and contracted until 2033, would be committed to the club for longer.

For Güler, that signature will be more than just paperwork. It will be the official stamp on his rise from promising signing to pillar of Real Madrid’s future.

When he arrived from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023, his first contract ran until 2029. Real Madrid paid €28 million to bring him in. At the time, it looked like a calculated gamble on a gifted left-footer. A year on, that fee already feels like a bargain.

His market value now stands at around €90 million, putting him comfortably at the top of the list of the most valuable Turkish players in world football. The club’s new offer reflects that reality. His previous salary, reported at €5 million per year, is expected to jump sharply under the fresh agreement.
