Tottenham's €60m Move for Omar Marmoush After Brentford Loss

Tottenham did not wait long to respond to their bruising Premier League start. Less than 24 hours after a 3-0 defeat at Brentford, the club have accelerated sharply in the transfer market.

The London side are closing in on a second attacking signing from Manchester City, adding more firepower to a frontline that looked blunt on opening weekend.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on Sunday that Spurs and City have reached a full agreement for Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush in a deal worth €60 million.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt forward is expected in London on Monday to undergo his medical and sign his contract, with only the final formalities left.

Marmoush is not arriving alone in this late-window push. Tottenham are also set to complete the signing of Savinho from City for around €100 million, a double swoop that signals a clear message after that heavy loss: the club intend to upgrade the attack fast, and decisively.
