Strasbourg Signs Chelsea Attacker Omari Kellyman
Strasbourg have completed the permanent signing of Chelsea attacker Omari Kellyman, the latest move in an increasingly busy transfer corridor between the two BlueCo-owned clubs.
The deal, which includes a buyback clause for Chelsea, is the 20th transfer between the sides since they came under the same American ownership. It is also expected to be only the first step in another flurry of business this week.
Chelsea striker Deivid Washington is set to follow Kellyman to the French club in a similar arrangement, with the London side retaining a degree of control over his future. On top of that, either midfielder Dario Essugo or winger Mykhailo Mudryk is being lined up to join Strasbourg on loan as the shared project between the clubs deepens.
Omari Kellyman's Move
For Kellyman, 20, the move offers a reset. Chelsea paid £19m to bring him in from Aston Villa in 2024, a signing made with clear long-term intent. But his time at Stamford Bridge never truly started. A run of hamstring injuries stalled his progress and he failed to make a single first-team appearance.
Now he heads to Ligue 1 in search of minutes, momentum and the kind of platform Chelsea could never quite give him.
