Rangers Supporters Banned for Five Years After Cup Chaos

Two Rangers supporters have been handed five-year bans from every football ground in the UK after ugly scenes marred an Old Firm Scottish Cup quarter-final in March.

The pair were caught on separate video clips as tempers spilled over at the end of the tie, turning a high-stakes derby into a security operation.

Mackenzie Graham, 21, from Glasgow, was filmed vaulting a fence before leading a group of fans onto the pitch. He repeatedly urged others to follow, helping trigger a brief but chaotic invasion that dragged attention away from the football and onto the behaviour in the stands.

In another incident, 19-year-old John Smith, from Peterhead, was seen throwing a bottle into the section housing Celtic supporters. Police moved quickly and arrested him inside the stadium.

The disorder flared at full-time and continued as stewards and officers tried to move supporters to safety. Among those caught up in the trouble were children and disabled fans, forced to navigate the chaos instead of simply leaving after the match.

Both Graham and Smith admitted the charges. The punishment is clear: five years away from every ground in the country, in a fixture that already walks a tightrope between passion and flashpoint.
