Max Eberl Signs Contract Extension at Bayern

Max Eberl has nailed his colours to the mast at Bayern, signing a contract extension and insisting he is determined to drive the club’s next era of success.

The sporting executive, who once came through Bayern’s youth system as a player, framed the new deal as both a homecoming and a responsibility. Bayern, he stressed, is not just another employer.

“Bayern has been close to my heart ever since my time in the youth ranks,” Eberl said, as the club confirmed his extended stay. “Like my fellow board members, I therefore want to continue on the path we have embarked on and, in the interests of the entire Bayern family, continue to do everything I can to achieve sporting success.”

The message was clear: continuity at the top, with the pressure to keep winning embraced rather than dodged.

Eberl also highlighted the backing he has received from above, describing it as more than a formality. “The trust shown in me by the supervisory board is a valuable vote of confidence, and one that I am very pleased about,” he added.

CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen echoed that sense of unity and ambition. He, too, welcomed the agreement and the stability it brings behind the scenes.

“First of all, I would like to thank the supervisory board for their trust,” Dreesen said. “I am delighted to be continuing my work at Bayern with energy and passion. As the executive board, together with our staff, members and fans, we intend to do everything in our power to ensure Bayern remains the top club of which we are all so proud.”

That line cut to the core of Bayern’s self-image: not just champions, but standard-setters.

“That is what drives us – and we still have a lot more to achieve,” Dreesen concluded, setting a firm tone for the challenges still to come.
