Liverpool's Pursuit of Bradley Barcola Intensifies
Liverpool’s chase for Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola is turning into one of the window’s fiercest late battles, with the clock ticking and the price soaring.
The 23-year-old France international has been identified as Liverpool’s top target to strengthen their wide attacking options before the deadline, according to The Athletic. All roads at Anfield, for now, lead to Barcola.
PSG, though, are in no mood to fold.
The Ligue 1 champions have set an eye-watering valuation, demanding around €170m for the former Lyon winger. Liverpool tested that stance with a bid of €115m, but Les Parisiens rejected it, holding firm as the negotiations harden.
The gap is clear. The tension is sharper.
Yet the player himself is not discouraged. As reported by L’Équipe, Barcola remains confident he will get his move to the North West of England before the window closes. He sees himself in red. He expects the deal to happen.
Liverpool are now preparing a new offer, one that is understood to move closer to PSG’s asking price. It will need to. PSG know they have a prized asset, Liverpool know they have a priority, and the final days of the summer are about to test just how badly the Premier League club want him.
The standoff is set. The deadline will decide who blinks first.
