PSG’s Plan for Suzuki and Juventus’ Strategy

Reports from Italy and France indicate that PSG is about to complete the signing of Suzuki from Parma, with a fee around €30 million plus up to €5 million in add-ons. Despite this, Suzuki won’t feature for PSG next season; instead, he is expected to return immediately to Italy on loan at Juventus.

Though a short-term loan might seem odd, it aligns with Juventus’ long-term plan. They see Suzuki as a bridge while they patiently wait to secure Alisson, who is their true goal between the sticks.

Spalletti’s Preference for Alisson Over Other Options

This summer, Juventus looked into other keepers, including talks with Aston Villa over Emiliano Martinez. Yet, coach Luciano Spalletti has made it clear that Alisson remains his priority. Having worked with Alisson at Roma, where the keeper earned 26 clean sheets in 64 games, Spalletti knows his quality well.
