Juventus Firm on Kenan Yildiz Amid Arsenal Interest

Luciano Spalletti is not blinking. Arsenal can circle, agents can talk, the market can swirl, but on Kenan Yildiz, the Juventus manager has drawn a hard line.

Speaking to the media, Spalletti made it clear he has no interest in entertaining offers for the 21-year-old winger, who has been heavily linked with a move to north London.

"I am perfectly relaxed, because dealing with Yildiz is easy for me," he said. "They can offer whatever they like, I want Yildiz here and will always put him on the field. His future is already important, staying at Juventus, not because there are other clubs who want to spend €100m for him."

That last line cut straight through the noise. This is not a manager using transfer speculation to squeeze a better deal. It is a coach staking his project on a player he sees as central to Juventus’ future.

Arsenal’s dream target meets a brick wall

On the other side of the story sits Arsenal. Reports from Sacha Tavolieri describe Yildiz as a “dream” winger for Mikel Arteta this summer, with the Gunners having decided to make a move and the manager pushing for the deal for some time.

Arsenal, the reports suggest, are prepared to go all-in to land the Turkey international. They want a wide forward who can both score and create, someone who fits Arteta’s high-intensity, technically sharp system. Yildiz ticks those boxes.

But every time the door looks like it might open, Juventus slam it shut again.

Club general manager Damien Comolli has been just as emphatic as Spalletti. He has publicly labelled Yildiz “untouchable” and “at the centre of our project”, confirming Arsenal’s interest but insisting there is no price that would tempt them.

According to Comolli, Juventus would not sell “even if they offered €100m”.

Market waits, Juve refuse to budge

That has not stopped Arsenal from watching closely. James McNicholas reported for The Athletic that the club are monitoring whether the market might unexpectedly free up either Yildiz or Julian Alvarez of Atletico Madrid before the window closes.

For now, it is a waiting game in north London. Arsenal are lurking, ready to move if the situation changes, but dependent on someone at Juventus softening a stance that currently looks granite.

Inside Turin, there is no sign of that happening. Spalletti wants Yildiz on the pitch, Comolli wants him at the heart of the project, and the message from the club in the final stretch of the window is blunt: he is not for sale.
